Shadow von Hagenow is a gorgeous 14 month old German Shepherd.  This highly-spirited guy is so excited to get out of his kennel for a walk that he is likely to jump in delight (maybe even do cartwheels).  It’s apparent that his original owner provided no basic training, so now he's an 80lb+ pound puppy who needs to learn his manners.  However, in his short time at the rescue, he has been very responsive to correction and being held accountable for his actions.  Energetic Shadow is exuberantly playful with both his toys and his humans but also thrives on being petted, to the extent that he will stand by your side for as long as he feels your gentle hand on him.  Around other dogs, Shadow gets excited and can react on leash.  Off leash he does much better, especially around friendly females who he may even romp with.  Shadow needs a committed owner who will continue to work with him to establish boundaries and make up for the Puppy 101 that he missed out on.  Shadow has come far from where he started, but his journey is not yet over and he would love to be at your side all along the way.
